JCHC Changes Physician Search
The search for a new physician at the Johnson County Healthcare Center has been slow, but it appears the facility may have come up with an option to fill the position.
Dr. Mark Schueler will be leaving later this year, and the healthcare center has been attempting to recruit a replacement, but have found candidates are either not interested or not qualified.
Former Clinic Director Crystal Smith spoke about the search during the recent hospital board meeting, saying Dr. Erica Rinker will be taking Dr. Schueler’s schedule in the clinic beginning October 1st.
Smith said she is advertising in the usual places for the industry but has also had the help of Marketing Director Jennifer Burden in finding some other avenues for reaching prospective physicians.
