Aaron PalmerDuring this week’s COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center briefing Tuesday, Johnson County Public Health Emergency Response Coordinator Robin King touched on the updated health orders issued by Governor Mark Gordon on Monday.
King said as of Monday, the state was reporting that county agencies had given 1,771 first doses of the COVID vaccine, and 907 second doses.
Those numbers do not include anyone who may have been vaccinated out of the county, the VA, Walgreen’s or Walmart.
Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Sean McCallister said things are very stable at the facility with five patients in the hospital, none with COVID.
He said in response to the updated health orders, the facility has started to make changes to their policies.
King said the county is currently at 1c on the priority list for vaccine, which means anyone 18 and up with health conditions are eligible for the vaccine.
