SMH COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic has administered over 3,500 doses to community members

Sheridan Memorial Hospital opened the COVID Vaccination Clinic on Jan. 27, and administered 479 vaccinations on the first day.
By Feb. 11, the clinic had administered over 3,500 doses of both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
The clinic has recently announced that it has now been able to move onto the next category of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Wyoming Department of Health Vaccination Priority List, by vaccinating members of the 1b-4 category.
According to the list, found here, the 1b-4 category includes members of the community 65 years of age or older and healthcare providers, behavioral health providers, social workers unable to physically distance and unable to provide services through telehealth or virtually and healthcare facility surveyor/compliance evaluator and ombudsmen.
During a SMH leadership meeting, Dr. Lekan Ajayi, Director of Lean Transformation, who has overseen the development and operations of the SMH COVID Vaccination Clinic, informed the public there is plenty of availability for residents in the category to call and schedule an appointment for a vaccine.
Those who have been identified as essential workers or are 65 years of age or older and want to receive the vaccine, can call the SMH COVID Vaccination Clinic at 307-675-4471.
