County to Apply for Grant for Crazy Woman Canyon Road

Johnson County will be applying for a grant to help with upgrades on Crazy Woman Canyon Road, after the county commission approved Chairman Bill Novotny to sign the application.
As explained by County Road & Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer, the funding will come from a FLAP, or Federal Lands Access Program Grant.
He explained the project further.
Pehringer said the county is applying for about $2.1 million in FLAP funding, which will require a $205,000 local match, which will come from materials and about $100,000 from the Road & Bridge budget.
The project is expected to begin construction in 2023.
