The 25th Annual Christmas Stroll begins Friday

The 25th Annual Christmas Stroll is happening at 8 a.m., Friday, Nov. 27 all over Sheridan. 

For 25 years, the Christmas Stroll has invited residents to take advantage of shopping local. This year, 93 Sheridan businesses are participating in the Stroll, with many taking part in the Christmas lighting and decorating contest. A list of participating businesses can be found here

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Dixie Johnson told listeners about a special guest that will be making an appearance during the Stroll.

This year only 2,500 buttons will be sold. Each button is numbered. If a button’s number matches with a posted number in a participating business, that button holder will win an item valued at $50 or more from the business. Button holders have until Dec. 24, to check numbers in all the businesses. 

The chamber will have “elves” walking around during the Christmas Stroll and should a button holder “Get Caught Shopping”, the button holder will be awarded with Chamber Bucks. The chamber will be awarding $2,500 in Chamber Bucks the first day of the Stroll alone. Over the next 25 Days of the Christmas Stroll, the chamber will be giving away another $2,500 in Chamber Bucks.
