Update 3 p.m.- The driver was identified as Cydney Wheeler, 32 of Sheridan, according to Yellowstone County Deputy Coroner Rich Hoffman.

BILLINGS – Police said Tuesday the driver involved in a crash on South Billings Boulevard on Saturday night has died.

Lt. Brandon Wooley said in a press release issued early Tuesday morning that a 32-year-old Wyoming woman died at the hospital following the crash shortly before 10 p.m.

Wooley said the woman, whose name has not been released, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup that ran a red light at South Billings Boulevard and Midland Road. An officer attempted to stop the truck and the driver fled northbound on South Billings Boulevard at a high rate of speed.

The officer did not pursue the truck, Wooley said. The driver lost control, left the roadway, rolled, and struck the Mountain Supply building at 534 S. Billings Blvd.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to a Billings medical facility by ambulance where she later died.
