Sheridan Commissioners Accept Modified USFS Agreement

The Sheridan County Commission, as part of their consent agenda, approved and accepted a modified grant agreement between the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office and the US Forest Service.

The modified agreement adds additional time and funding for patrols by the sheriff’s office in the Bighorn National Forest through the end of 2021 for an additional $15,000.

According to the agreement, the need arises due to very high visitor use and the need for more local law enforcement support on the forest.

The grant funding can be used for patrols and/or equipment.
