Ron RichterSmoke from wildfires in the west continues to blanket much of the region. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
According to EPA, the air quality in Sheridan has been listed as “unhealthy” due to the amount of particulate matter in the air from the wildfire smoke. Meteorologist Krista Carrothers with the National Weather Service in Billings says that the smoke and haze will continue to linger for at least the next few days because of the jet stream.
Health officials encourage those with lung or heart disease to avoid all physical activity outdoors. Older adults and children should also limit their time outside when the air quality is poor due to wildfire smoke. More information on wildfire smoke can be found through the link below:
