The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center Receives Tech2Connect Grant

The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette has received a Tech2Connect Grant from the University of Wyoming, Wyoming Center on Aging. According to information from Campbell County Health, the funds will be used to connect older adults and adults with disabilities in Wyoming with remote social services, healthcare, and to combat social isolation caused by COVID-19.
The funds will be used specifically at the Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center to purchase tablets and hearing amplifiers for resident activities. Funds will also go toward some of the cost of a resident and family notification system that is integrated with the clinical documentation software used The Legacy.
The Wyoming Center on Aging has also partnered with the Wyoming Assistive Technology Program to provide training videos to assist older adults in learning about the technology that can ensure they have access to social services, healthcare and keep them engaged with family and friends.
