Mayor Shane Schrader said at the recent council meeting that the current contract is identical to previous contracts the city has had with the shelter.
The agreement specifies the city will pay the shelter $1,500 per month for services relating to animal control, housing, and other services for dogs and cats that are picked up by the Buffalo Police Department or the Animal Control Officer.
The contract is for the 2020-2021 fiscal year and was approved unanimously by the council.
