Jo Co Commission Meeting on School Board Reduction Coming April 7

The Johnson County Commission will be hosting a public meeting to discuss and gather public input on the possibility of the Johnson County School Board reducing its members from nine trustees down to seven.

The meeting will be Tuesday, April 7 beginning at 5 p.m. in the commission chambers at the historic courthouse in Buffalo.

JCSD1 Superintendent Charles Auzqui discussed the meeting with the school board at their last meeting.

Auzqui closed by saying he encourages board members and all stakeholders in the community to attend the April 7 meeting to express concerns or support for the change.
