Sheriff Discusses Red Grade Road Opening Early
While a recent guests on our talk show Public Pulse, Sheridan County Sheriff Levi Dominguez and Under-sheriff Lt. Doug Sanders talked about the “early” opening of Red Grade Road.
Dominguez said the early opening of a portion of Red Grade Road was a joint decision between the sheriff’s office and County Road & Bridge, with authority given by the county commission.
He said there are a number of factors that contribute to the decision to open and close the road, such as grooming by the US Forest Service, but public safety is always the top priority.
Dominguez asked the public to be aware of the conditions on Red Grade, to not cause damage to the resource.
