2025: A Record Year for the Sheridan County Airport

Published

on

The Sheridan County Airport is reporting another record-breaking year in 2025. According to a release from airport manager Robert Gill, more than 60,300 passengers used the airport’s flight services. This represents an increase of more than 6% for the twice-daily round-trip service to Denver by SkyWest, flying for United.

Officials credit the new flight schedule that took effect in June 2025, which helped boost passenger numbers, along with increased flights over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Sheridan-Johnson County Critical Air Service Team, which is composed of representatives from the cities, counties, travel and tourism organizations, chambers of commerce and local citizens, has promoted and worked with the airlines to improve services. The Sheridan County Airport reports the group continues to work toward service without a minimum revenue guarantee, larger aircraft and increased flights, with continued passenger growth critical to achieving these goals.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Gill announced projects that continue to improve the airport, including the Realignment of Taxiway Alpha project, ramp improvements and additional parking.

It is very bad that to use the airport anyone would be wise to have someone take them there! the so-called temporary parking is always full! the long term parking is always full! What exactly decides either? i have seen vehicles parked there for what i would guess as free public parking, flying or not!
