The Clearmont Historical Center in Clearmont is currently accepting quilts for their 5th Annual Quilt Show. To give the staff time to hang the quilts before March 1st, quilts must be received at the Clearmont Historical Center by Feb. 25th. “We are open daily 10-2 to check in your quilts,” Sandy Hirz, director of the Center said.

Hirz said this year’s quilt show will be honoring Addie Cook, a lifetime Clearmont quilter.
Each quilt will be given a number, and there is a card attached to each one telling a little about the quilt. Visitors to the show are asked to vote for their favorite quilt and can leave comments about the show and the quilts as well.

Hirz also talked about the new, improved basement at the Center, which now has a concrete floor and new shelves.

The shelves were purchased with the help of a $500 grant from Sheridan County Community Foundation, which the group received in October. The basement is being used for storage of items that are currently not on display in the upper part of the building.
The show will run throughout the Month of March, which is National Quilting Month. For more information about the quilt show call 307-758-4685 or Email at clearmonthistory@gmail.com.
“Hope to see you soon!” Hirz said.
