cvannoyGreetings From PK Lane is the name of the current art exhibit in the Mezzanine at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library.
The exhibit focuses on several bird houses that local artist Carrie Edinger sketched and photographed along PK Lane at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains.
On Thursday, January 16, a reception was held for Edinger at the library, and she talked about the exhibit.
“I am excited to see my drawings and prints all together after several years of working on this artwork from observing the landscape and birdhouses along PK Lane,” Edinger said.
She added,
“On my first hike along PK Lane, an old Sheridan County Road to the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains, I quickly noticed the weathered birdhouses placed on some of the rustic fence posts,” Edinger said.
She said that she doesn’t know who built the birdhouses, although the Big Horn Audubon society did play a role. She talked about what birds she had seen using the bird houses along the lane.
A good crowd attended the reception to talk to Edinger and to look at her artwork. The exhibit will be at the library through the end of January.
