This year, the Sheridan/Big Horn Mountain KOA Campground is about to become a winter wonderland for Christmas 2024. Stacy Kobielusz, manager of KOA, is planning to decorate the campground this year. Kobielusz, became manager 4 years ago. At first, she was only there during the winter, when she had the idea of decorating the entire campground.

In addition to encouraging the community drive through and enjoy the lights, she hopes that people will donate to the KOA Care Camp.

There are several cabins and many trees to decorate, and it is a big project, but she hopes to get the community involved.

She said she will open the KOA gift shop on Saturday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and she will have hot chocolate and apple cider, and people can do their Christmas shopping.

Businesses or individuals who want to adopt a space or a tree can have their names posted to acknowledge their contributions. “If a business helps with the decorating, I will advertise for them,” she added.

Anyone interested in helping on the project can contact the KOA campground at 63 Decker Road, 1-307-674-8766.
