SCSD#3 Board Signs Diplomas on Wednesday

Graduation is only a few weeks away for area schools, and the SCSD#3 Board members signed diplomas for the 2024 graduating class at their April 10 meeting.

The board also voted to hire three teachers, Kiley McConnell, 7-12 grade science; Kirsten Johnson, K-12 Music; and Abigail Mueller, VoAg teacher and FFA advisor, for the 2024-25 school year.

They also voted to increase the base salary for teachers, as well as voting raise lunch prices by $1. They also approved to advertise for propane bids for the 2024-25 year.

Mike Buss, new maintenance supervisor, reported on what he is currently working on for the district.

There was discussion about separating the Clear Creek Recreation District board and the school board and finding community members to serve on the Rec. District board. The next and last community lunch of the year will be May 1, and community members are invited to come and meet the students and staff. The school would appreciate reservations a week in advance to make sure there is enough food.

Next meeting will be on May 8 at 7 p.m.
