In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wyoming Community Foundation has announced that they are raising funds that will be utilized to address Wyoming’s immediate needs during this crisis. Wyoming Community Foundation President Craig Showalter said in a media release that the nonprofit has established the COVID-19 Immediate Needs Fund and will also be accepting money for their Unrestricted Endowment. The two funds will allow grantmaking to nonprofit organizations immediately and as needs arise in the upcoming months and coming years.

Showalter said that the state is seeing unprecedented changes daily and there is more work to be done than ever before and these funds will allow them to help organizations receive essential funding quickly and to help them face long term challenges. Showalter added that people are out of work, businesses are closing, and food banks, shelters, mental health organizations, child and afterschool care are just a few of the many organizations who will need support during these tough times. Information on how you can donate to the COVID-19 Immediate Needs Fund is available here: https://wycf.org/ You can also call 1-307-721-8300.
