Buffalo’s Vespers Program to be Presented This Weekend

Buffalo’s traditional musical Vespers Program, this year entitled, “O Come, Emmanuel,” will be presented this Sunday afternoon, December 17.
Performers with the Buffalo Community Choir and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Handbell Choir will perform music in celebration of the Christmas season.
Accompanist Juli Jarvis and Director Kathy Clements are the co-organizers for the event.
Jarvis said the program has been put on by the Buffalo Music Study Club, which has since disbanded. The Community Choir received funding from the study group and they felt the need to continue the Vespers program.
Jarvis and Clements explain further.
Clements said there will be a new source for music for the community stemming from their efforts.
Jarvis invited everyone to the program.
There will be a Jazz prelude that will begin at 3:30.
The service is free and open for the public to attend, but free-will donations will be accepted to fund future programs and music scholarships for local singers and instrumentalists.
