Sheridan Commission Approves Letter of Opposition on Land Exchange

The Sheridan County Commission has passed a Resolution authorizing Chairwoman Christi Haswell to sign a Letter of Opposition to the proposed State Trust Land Exchange with Columbus Peak Ranch, LLC.
Board Vice-Chairman Nick Siddle, sitting in for the absent Haswell, explained more about the letter.
The proposed land swap would trade roughly 628 acres of privately owned land along with about $411,000 for 560 acres of state land near Dayton.
The commission’s letter of opposition will be sent to the State Board of Land Commissioners.
