cvannoyThe Sheridan Community Land Trust has announced that its Explore History program for November will be “Battle Where the Girl Saved Her Brother aka The Rosebud Battle.” There will be two programs, one on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Hub on Smith; and the other Nov. 21 at TRVCC in Dayton. Both programs will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.
Join SCLT History Program Manager Kevin Knapp and Dana Prater, former director of the Sheridan County Historical Museum, for an exploration of the history of this significant battle between Northern Plains Tribes and the U.S. Army. You’ll learn stories from the battle, its local connections, and more while seeing how the battle unfolded in great detail. The program will also feature the latest information on the battle based on current information and an overview of the battle from all perspectives.
Explore History is free to attend, and open to all. For more information, visit https://sheridanclt.org/events.
