Clearmont Seeks New Town Clerk

At the Clearmont Clear Creek Recreation District meeting prior to the SCSD#3 school board meeting on Oct. 11, Kaelan Haring, new city council member and town representative to the recreation district, reported on the water well and the fact that the town of Clearmont has an opening for a new town clerk as Vivian Ramsay is moving away at the end of October. He said that the position is 25 hours per week but could be more and pays $18 per hour.

The applicant should have knowledge of principles and practices of account procedures, ability to analyze financial and accounting reports; knowledge of computers and job-related software programs; writing and communication skills required.

He added they need someone immediately.

Amy Rowe of the Rec District mentioned the upcoming Halloween Trunk or Treat, saying that people last year expressed interest in having contest for the best decorated trunk. She said judges are needed for the contest, and Trustee Trinity Lewis suggested the women’s club members.

Next meeting will be on Nov. 8 preceding the SCSD#3 Board meeting.
