Buffalo Ice Rink to Host Weekend Tournament

This Saturday the Buffalo Ice Rink will be hosting a 3-on-3 Ball Hockey Tournament that will also feature live music and beer.

Ann Edison, with the Buffalo Ice Rink organization, attended this week’s Buffalo City Council meeting to invite the public to participate this weekend.

According to information provided by the organization, teams will be made up of six players in total; one line comprising three adult players and one line of three youth players.

Ball hockey is played with athletic shoes and traditional ice hockey or street hockey sticks, which can be provided to players if requested.

Protective equipment is recommended, it is not required to participate.

Incomplete teams, individual players, and anyone interested are encouraged to sign up.

Organizers will fill teams with players as needed so everyone can participate.

The event will be at the Buffalo Community Ice Rink located near the train at Washington Park and games will begin at 4 p.m.
