Johnson County OK’s Mutual Aid Agreement

Johnson County’s Commissioners have approved and accepted the Mutual Aid Agreement between the county, City of Buffalo, and the Town of Kaycee in emergency situations.
County Emergency Management Coordinator Marilyn Connolly brought the updated agreement before the commission at their last regular meeting for consideration, explaining what the three entities were agreeing to.
Connolly explained that the agreement needs to be in place so if there is an emergency situation that requires the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) involvement, they want to see these types of mutual aid agreements in place.
According to Connolly, the county attorney’s office has reviewed the agreement and recommended approval.
