Aaron PalmerThe Buffalo City Council has denied an appeal of a decision from the Planning & Zoning Board concerning a setback on a property within the city.
Property owner Matt Gilbert explained to the council that the city’s setback requirement is 20 feet, but he was asking for a 5-foot setback to build his shop closer to the property line to allow a bigger yard on the property.
Planning & Zoning had granted a setback variance to 10 feet from the property line but Gilbert was approaching the council to ask for them to overturn the P&Z decision and allow him the 5-foot setback.
City Building Inspector Terry Asay explained the P&Z Board’s decision.
After the council voted to uphold the P&Z decision, Gilbert said, “that is alright. It was worth a shot.”
