Sheridan Avenue Micro-surfacing Project to Begin Soon

A project to resurface a section of Sheridan Avenue will begin later this month, according to officials with the City of Sheridan.
While appearing on a recent Public Pulse show, Public Works Director Hanns Mercer and City Engineer Tom Morneau discussed the micro-surfacing project which will begin at 5th Street and continue to KROE Lane, and also encompass the grid of streets from Sheridan Avenue to Crook Street.
Morneau said a contractor was brought in last year to seal the cracks in the roadways in preparation for this year’s project.
He explains what micro-surfacing is.
Morneau said the city has a contractor on board for the project, which is tentatively set to begin in late June or early July and is expected to take two to three weeks to complete, although it could take less time.
