Unemployment Percentages In Northeast Wyoming Increase In March 2023

While the unemployment percentages in Wyoming dropped a little bit in March 2023, most of northeast Wyoming did not follow the trend.
The Department of Workforce Services says the statewide unemployment rate dropped from 3.8% in February 2023 to 3.7% in March.
It was 3.3% in March of 2022.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for March 2023 was at 3.5%, which is down from 3.6% in February 2023, and down from 3.6% in March 2022.
Sheridan County’s unemployment rate for March 2023 was at 4.1%, which is up from 4.0% in February.
Johnson County’s rate for March was at 4.3%, and that is up from 4.1% in February.
The March 2022 rates for both Sheridan and Johnson Counties was at 3.5% and 3.9% respectively.
Teton County had the lowest unemployment rate in Wyoming in March 2023 at 2.6%, while Washakie County had the highest rate at 5.8%.
Nonfarm employment in the Cowboy State increased by 6,700 jobs from March 2022 to March 2023.
