Ron RichterAn ordinance outlining the contractor license revocation process for the City of Sheridan was up for third reading at the recent Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The ordinance was approved by the City Council on third and final reading. City Attorney Brendon Kerns says the ordinance that was on the books regarding contractor license revocation was technically not legal. He addressed the Council and Mayor Rich Bridger prior to their vote.
Kerns said the ordinance adopted by the Council provides a better explanation of the revocation process, protects the due process of the license holder, and provides a clear appeal process.
