Ron RichterThe City of Sheridan is in the process of replacing one of their two ambulances. Sheridan Fire Chief Gary Harnish said Sheridan Fire-Rescue conducted an extensive search for potential vendors, and due to supply chain issues, discovered that purchasing a new vehicle was no longer a simple and quick task.
Harnish presented his recommendation to the City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger at a recent council study session.
The total cost of the ambulance is $310,553, but that number is likely to be lower due to an anticipated mileage discount because the ambulance is a demo unit. The purchase of the ambulance will be considered by the Council at their regularly scheduled business meeting Monday night.
