Those who have lost their way or have fallen on hard times physically and/or mentally now have more help available.
The Northern Wyoming Mental Health Center has announced it is merging with Volunteers of America Northern Rockies.
Consolidation will take place at the beginning of September at which time Northern Wyoming Mental Health Center staff will become VOA employees.
Paul Demple who is the former CEO of Mental Health Center says the merger offers greater efficiency of resources through a larger economy of scale and stronger administrative oversight in the complex world of behavioral health.
The COVID pandemic and the recent economic downturn have forced changes in the delivery of mental health and substance abuse services in Wyoming.
A media release states the merger will enhance the mission impact of both organizations while helping them become stronger financially, programmatically and geographically.
Last year Volunteers of America Northern Rockies merged with Peak Wellness Center.
