Aaron PalmerThe Hospital Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center are in the midst of reviewing their general and liability insurance policies pertaining to cost and coverage.
Board Chairman Dr. Mark Schueler explained the reason for the
review.
The board heard the first presentation from Utah Medical Insurance Association, or UMIA, during their recent board meeting.
The board will hear the second presentation from representatives of MEDPRO, their current policy holder, at their meeting later this month.
JCHC CEO Sean McCallister said the review of the policies is to protect the
facility.
The board is expected to make a decision on which provider they will award the contract to at their meeting in July.
