cvannoyOn Tuesday, August 8, SCSD#3, Arvada-Clearmont, held a back-to-school community picnic and a school open house. There were also several meetings held between parents and teachers for the 2023 -24 school year.
A good crowd attended the event, and the hamburgers and hot dogs were grilled by Greg Rohrer, business manager at A/C School.
Three new teachers joined the A/C Staff for this upcoming year,
Beth Harman science teacher, talked about the upcoming year.
Her son, Cord, who is going into seventh grade, also talked about going back to school in Clearmont, and that he was excited about the upcoming year.
Beth Harman had this to add about the picnic this year.
Amanda Andreen is the the new 3rd & 4th-grade classroom teacher
Andreen is from the Recluse area, and her children have attended school at Arvada-Clearmont. She added that since her youngsters have attended SCSD#3, she has been to several back-to-school picnics, and she always enjoys them.
Mandi Buchanan is another new teacher, and she talked about coming to Clearmont. She said this is her first year here and she will be teaching,
The Clearmont Community Church made their annual donation of backpacks and school supplies for the K-6 students at the school, and Cody Ramsay, pastor, said this about the donations.
School starts for students on August 14 at Arvada-Clearmont.
