Starting where last year finished, the Sheridan girls swimming and diving team participated in their first competition of the season at Laramie.

The first day of competition was all relays and diving.

Team-wise, Sheridan was 6th of 9 teams.

The second day was the pentathlon, as individual swimmers participated in the 100 meter Freestyle, 100 meter Backstroke, 100 meter Breaststroke, 100 meter Butterfly, and 50 meter Freestyle.

Times in each of the 5 races were added up for a swimmer’s final time for the competition.

Olivia Dannhaus was the highest place finisher for Sheridan, as she would place 11th overall.

As a team the Lady Broncs would finish 4th behind Laramie, Cheyenne Central and Campbell County (9 teams total).

The next scheduled swim meet for Sheridan is a dual meet at home vs. Buffalo on Saturday, September 4th, beginning at 10am.
