Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC FOOTBALL – The Broncs let one slip away to Cheyenne Central Friday, the Broncs led 17-7 only to see Central score twice in the final two and half minutes to win the game 20-17 the final score came with :09 seconds to play.

After the tough loss Head coach Jeff Mowry says they let central off the hook and it cost them a victory.

The Broncs had turnover problems and missed on two great scoring opportunities.

Now it’s back out on the road to play at Rock Springs.

RAMS FOOTBALL – The Big Horn Rams dropped their second straight game 30-20 to Wheatland the Rams will try it on the road at Newcastle Friday.

EAGLES FOOTBALL – The Tongue River Eagles dropped their game at Burns 16-7 to fall to 0-2 the Eagles host Torrington friday.

WOLVES FOOTBALL – NSI dropped their opener at home to Kaycee 54-4.

COWBOY FOOTBALL – This week’s University of Wyoming classic football game will be the Pokes vs San Diego state from 2011 the cowboys beat the Aztecs 30-27 the game will air Saturday at 1:00 on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

X-COUNTRY – The Sheridan high school cross country teams host the annual Michelle Ludwig invitational Friday at Black Tooth park.

TENNIS – The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams swept matches on the weekend from Campbell county and Thunder Basin. They play at their conference tournament in Cody this week.

VOLLEYBALL – The Lady Bronc volleyball team dropped a tough five set match to Casper Kelly Walsh Friday this week the Lady Broncs play at Thunder Basin Friday and host Campbell county Saturday at noon.

The Tongue River volleyball team went 0-2 on the weekend with losses to Glenrock and Big Horn.

The Lady Rams beat TR and Newcastle took losses against Glenrock, Douglas and Wheatland,

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers went 0-4 in road duals at Cheyenne and Laramie. this week they compete at meet in Gillette Friday.

GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will end their season at the state tournament in Casper the opening round is Friday.

BRONCO FOOTBALL – The Denver Broncos host the Tennessee Titans tonight we will have the game live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM starting at 6:00 kickoff is at 8:20.
