Bronc Football Hosts Laramie Friday Night to Open the 2020 Season

BRONC FOOTBALL – The Sheridan Bronc football team begins defense of their 2019 state championship hosting the Laramie Plainsmen tomorrow night we will have the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM the First Federal pregame show will start at 5:30 with kickoff scheduled for 6:00.

Bronc Head coach Jeff Mowry says it’s amazing that we are able to start the season since school was called off in March because of the pandemic but he says they modified their off season schedule to make the best of a bad situation.

The Broncs have played in the last five 4-A state title games winning four times including last November’s 35-26 win over Thunder Basin and Mowry says all the heat will be on the Broncs to get back into the title chase this season.

GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers play in Gillette today.

TENNIS – The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis play on the road tomorrow at Powell and Cody and will be at home Saturday hosting Laramie and Torrington.

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will open in Gillette tomorrow in the Gillette relays and compete in the Gillette Pentathlon Saturday.

X-COUNTRY – The Sheridan high school cross country teams will run at meet in Casper to start their season tomorrow.

VOLLEYBALL – The Lady Bronc volleyball team will open the season with matches in Casper Saturday against Natrona county and Cheyenne South.
