More Fall Sports Guidelines / Lady Bronc Volleyball Opens Saturday

FALL SPORTS – Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says as the fall sports season begins this week a couple more reminders for Friday night’s Bronc home football game.

We will have the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM kickoff is scheduled for 6:00.

Julian says other school activity venues will have limited numbers of spectators as well as COVID-19 screening.

VOLLEYBALL – The Lady Bronc volleyball team will open the season with matches in Casper Saturday against Natrona county and Cheyenne South.

Lori Byrd takes over the Head coaching duties for the Lady Bronc program this year.

Byrd is a veteran high school and college volleyball coach she was the Lady Broncs Head coach in the late 1980’s and 90’s and says it’s great to be back at SHS.

Changing the mental approach to the game has been their biggest challenge.

And finally today Byrd talks about what she would like to see from the players Saturday in Casper.

GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers play in Gillette tomorrow and Friday.

TENNIS – The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis play on the road Friday at Powell and Cody and will be at home Saturday hosting Laramie and Torrington.

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will open in Gillette Friday in the Gillette relays and compete in the Gillette pentathlon Saturday.

CROSS COUNTRY – The Sheridan high school cross country teams will run at meet in Casper to start their season Friday.
