Sheridan College Rodeo Team Competes At 2025 Eastern WY College Rodeo Event

The Sheridan College Rodeo Team put forth a strong effort at this past weekend’s rodeo in Torrington, Wyo., with several student-athletes securing notable performances.
On the Women’s Team, Taylor McGregor had a solid showing in Breakaway Roping, advancing to the short round after placing second in the long-go.
She finished sixth in the average.
In Barrel Racing, Maci DeHaan and Sierra McGregor both placed inside the top 20 of the
long-go, competing against nearly 100 riders.
For Team Roping, the duo of Sierra Hilgenkamp and Sierra McGregor finished thirteenth in the long-go.
Head Coach Bobby Harris praised the team’s efforts, noting that while only the top ten advance to the short round, many Sheridan College competitors were just shy of the cutoff.
“We are very proud of their hard work and continue to drive forward and get ready for the next one,” Harris said.
In the Overall standings, Jake Schlattmann is in 4th place in the Saddle Bronc Riding, and it’s the top 3 at the end of the season, that get to compete at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper.
The team will return to practice this week before traveling to Loveland, Colo., April 4-6 for their third spring rodeo.
