Lady Bronc Swimmer Signs an LOI / Mavericks Lacrosse Splits two / Troopers Back at Home Friday

A Sheridan high school swimmer will soon try to make a splash at the collegiate level, Lilly Mountain has signed her letter of intent to compete on the women’s swimming team at Northern state university in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

During the Wyoming high school state meet last November, she competed for the lady broncs in the 50 yard and 100 yard freestyle races, and was part of both the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relay teams.

Mountain says she been hooked on competing in the pool for some time and has some advice for those thinking about getting into the sport.

Lilly added she plans to major in business, Northern state university is an NCAA D2 school that competes in the Northern Sun conference.

The Sheridan Mavericks lacrosse team split their weekend games with Cheyenne and Cody, they beat Cheyenne 10-3 then had a great battle with Cody before falling 14-10

The Sheridan Troopers have two more home double headers this week, Friday night they host the Billings Royals the first game will start at 4:30, Saturday they will play two with Bozeman, Montana the first game is scheduled for 1:00.

The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams have Cheyenne Central and East on the schedule the Broncs will be the road team this week while the Lady oncs play at home, game times friday have the jv’s at 4:00 and the varsity at 6:00 saturday’s games will go at 10:00 and noon.
