Theater Company Presenting Melodramas in November
Buffalo’s Creekside Performing Arts will be getting back into the business of entertaining in November as they will give an evening of melodramas at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center.
The theater company will present “Unhand Her, You Villain” and “Run to the Roundhouse, Nellie, He Can’t Find You There” in 7pm performances on Friday, November 20th and again Saturday, November 21st, with a matinee performance on Saturday at 2pm.
According to literaryterms.net, a melodrama is “a work with exaggerated, sensational events and characters. It is highly emotional, focusing on exciting but over-the-top situations that are designed to encourage emotional responses in the audience.”
