Larry Werner

Funeral services for Larry Werner, a 66-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away at his home in Buffalo on Thursday night, will be held Thursday, December 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Gilbert officiating.  Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in Larry’s memory may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter at 109 Flat Iron Drive in Buffalo, Wyoming, 82834. Larry Daniel Werner was born on January 24, 1959, in Gillette, Wyoming to Betty and Thomas Werner.  He grew up on Werner Ranch outside Gillette until 1966. He went to school in Recluse and Gillette, Wyoming, and graduated from Campbell County High School.  After high school, Larry went to work for Ross Construction in the masonry division, and he later worked for Barton Construction.  He continued working as a mason throughout his career.  He lived in Arvada for twenty years before moving to Buffalo, where he lived for another 20 years.  After   retiring, he continued living in Buffalo until his death.

Larry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening He is survived by his mother Betty Ross of Sheridan, Wyoming; two brothers Darrell Werner of Sheridan, and Neil Werner and his wife Pam of Okeechobee FL and Buffalo; one stepsister Vickie Fenton and her husband Bruce of Flagstaff, Arizona and several Nieces, Nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Werner, his stepfather Bill Ross, one sister Brenda Gamble and one stepbrother Billy Ross.
