Three Junior Hawks Move on / Jets Play for Their State Title Today / Troopers Play at Gillette

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks hockey team got some good news in the last few days as three players from last season’s team are making the next move up the junior hockey ladder they are Blake Billings from Sheridan, Jacob Cummings from Anchorage, Alaska and Goalie James Downie from Australia, Hawks Head coach Andy Schieb says the program takes a lot of pride in seeing these players move up.

Schieb has been out around the country in the last few weeks watching players, some might become part of next seasons Hawks roster and with COVID-19 shutting down sports this off season Schieb says at least they are talking about trying to get the new season going.

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers are 32-17 and will play a double header in Gillette today they will be off tomorrow and host Rapid City Post 22 Sunday the double header will start at 2:00.

JETS BASEBALL – The Sheridan jets are hosting the “B” state tournament they lost last night to the Casper Crush 7-6, the other game had the Casper Roughnecks knockout Cheyenne 4-3.

The Jets were sent into the championship game because of how the bracket was set up so today the Casper teams play each at 11:00 the winner will play the Jets at 1:30 in the state championship

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies open the 2020 MLB season tonight at the Texas Rangers you can hear the season opener on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM Rockies on deck starts at 5:25 with the first pitch at 6:05.
