Becca Oetken Of Sheridan Wins At Inaugural WY Girls Wrestling State Championship

In the first year of Wyoming High School Girls Varsity Wrestling, sophomore Becca Oetken of Sheridan pinned her way to the 235 pound weight class state championship.

She actually weighs about 175 pounds, according to her family.

Oetken finished the year with a record of 28-4, including a 3-0 record within the 235 pound weight class.

State Championship Match Highlights:

This was Oetken’s first year of wrestling, and she competed in the 190 pound weight class at first, and then moved up to the 235 pound weight class, just before the state tournament.
