New programs within the Northern Wyoming Community College District are one step closer to being available to students.
In a special meeting on Tuesday (February 8th), the District Board of Trustees approved seven new academic programs and three others that are new or revised.
Three of those programs will offer associate degrees and those programs are advanced materials manufacturing, software development and hospitality and tourism management.
The other seven will offer certificates of completion.
Those programs are Manufacturing Composites Technology, Graphic Design, Entrepreneurship, Event Planning, Agritourism, Culinary Arts and Hospitality Foundations and Hospitality and Tourism Leadership.
District President Dr. Walter Tribley says all 10 programs still need to be approved by the Higher Learning Commission.
No official time table has been announced in terms of when the programs would be made available to students, but at the last regular board meeting, Dr. Tribley said some could be ready as early as the fall semester, later this year.
