Hospital Board Awards Audit Contract

The Hospital Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center reviewed proposals and awarded the contract for this year’s audit.

Three proposals were submitted to the JCHC, and CEO Luke Senden discussed the proposals with the board, giving the pros and cons for each one.

Although they were quality proposals from each, Senden said he had worked with the firm from Nebraska in the past, and that the familiarity with them would be helpful to him, but ultimately it was the board’s decision to make.

After some discussion, the board voted to award the contract to Dohman, Akerlund & Eddy, LLC of Aurora, Nebraska for $34,000 annually on a three-year contract, up slightly from last year’s audit cost of roughly $32,000.
