Johnson County Seeks RFPs on Airport Land

Requests for Proposals (RFPs) will be taken by Johnson County’s Commissioners concerning the lease of county-owned lands near the airport for grazing purposes.

The current lease on the property will be up on May 1, according to during discussions at their Tuesday meeting.

Commissioner Linda Greenough suggested advertising for a one-year ag lease on the property with an option for a one-year renewal.

The advertising will be placed in the local newspaper beginning February 1, and the current leaseholder will be notified of the commissioners’ intent.

RFPs will be due by March 1, with documents to be executed and payments due by April 5, 2022.
