CAST Elects Officers for 2020

The annual meeting of the Sheridan-Johnson Critical Air Service Group (CAST) was this past week and new officers for the group were elected..
In a release from the organization it was announced that Steve Maier is the new president, Mark Smith is vice-president, Rich Bridger is the new treasurer, and Dixie Johnson is now secretary.
The release also said transition to air service by United Express Airlines from Denver Air Connection began Sunday with the arrival of the first flight of United Express Airlines.
The contract for the new air service extends through June 30th of 2022.
According to CAST Administrator Renee Obermueller, there will be a formal welcoming for the community in March when the renovation of the terminal building is complete.
She said in the release “CAST is very appreciative of the service provided by Denver Air Connection to our airport. Without their professional commitment as well as their ‘can do’ approach, we would not have the consumer confidence that we now enjoy. They served our community well.”
CAST will continue to assure a smooth transition from DAC to United Express, engage and advocate the benefit of consistent commercial air service and keep the commercial air service available for the community at reasonable cost and performance, according to the release.
