With less than three months before the start of next year’s Wyoming Legislative Budget Session, the state senators and representatives from Sheridan County have been gathering input on issues from their part of the state to take to Cheyenne.
On Tuesday (November 23rd) the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee hosted its annual Legislative Forum at Sheridan City Hall.
Senators Dave Kinskey and Bo Biteman along with Representatives Cyrus Western and Mark Kinner listened to various individuals and officials on issues such as education, local government, health and agriculture to name a few.
Senator Biteman says it seems to him that people are better off financially than they have been, which will hopefully translate to a smoother session.
“This will be the first budget session I’m going into since I’ve been in office that we haven’t been in an absolute panic mode. The state’s sitting pretty well now financially, so this will be the first budget that we’re not doing in a crisis mode, where we’re looking to cut a lot out of everybody’s budget.”
The 4-week Legislative Budget Session is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 14th.

Good luck. I never liked the “BOSS HOGG” mentality there
