Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council held their first regular business meeting of the year Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
In late December, the Sheridan City Council held a special meeting to approve the hiring of Interim City Administrator Mike Jackson. Monday night, Jackson was formally introduced to the Council and Mayor Roger Miller by City Human Resources Director Heather Doke. Jackson said that he expects to be here for three to four months while the City searches for a permanent administrator.
Jackson said that he intends to be here only for the interim, as he has no intention of applying for the permanent City Administrator position. He said that he looks forward to working on a number of issues while he’s in Sheridan.
The Council also received an update on the Parks division and discussed electing a new Council president and vice president. It was agreed upon by the Council that they would take action on the issue of Council president and vice president at their next regularly scheduled meeting on January 20. We’ll have more from the Council meeting for you in future stories.
