Barrasso: ‘Democrat Taxes and Spending Raising Prices’

U.S. Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming spoke on the Senate floor Tuesday about how Democrats’ spending has triggered the fastest inflation in three decades. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Senator Barrasso began his remarks by saying that Democrats’ trillion-dollar spending bill would only “pour fuel on the fire of inflation” that is eating up people’s paychecks in Wyoming and across America. Barrasso said every month since Joe Biden has been president, prices have been rising faster than wages.
Senator Barrasso referenced the recent announcement from Dollar Tree, that they would begin offering items for more than their customary $1.
Senator Barrasso said Democrats are now proposing a new fee on national gas production and that according to one estimate, the new fee would cost the economy $9.1 billion and eliminate 90,000 good-paying American energy jobs. Barrasso closed his remarks by saying American families are feeling the pain and the Democrats need to stop pouring more fuel on the fire of inflation that is raging across the country.

I wonder how much tax revenue was lost from the 30% (+) tax break given to corporations during the trump administration…plenty of blame to go around

i wonder how much tax revenue was gained through all of the people employed by those corporations? goods and services bought, houses bought? donations to charities in the community?? the Amazon-AOC mentality just destroys communities.

lassi faire capitalism is what has been destroying communities since the gilded age- and it continues today. If the tax revenue was increased by the corporate tax cuts why did the deficit increase by $7 trillion under Trump?

Nope, can’t believe what you say Dr. Barrasso. You failed your oath of office by being silent while your party ginned up and supported an attempt to subvert an election, the hallmark of a stable democracy. You don’t stand for democracy or the constitution. You only stand for doing and saying whatever you think will work to gain and keep power, keep access to money, and live the high life. You lack integrity. No wonder you will try to shift responsibility for the federal deficit, trying to claim you and fellow repubs didn’t raid the treasury and pay off your wealthy donors. No integrity, no character Dr. Barrasso.

Subvert an election? Do you mean the ballot stuffing and rigged voting tabulators that were set up to push the 2020 election in bidens favor? Interesting that at least five states stopped counting ballots all around the same time, and then resumed counting in the wee hours of the morning where biden took a major jump in the count. Oh, and just a reminder, the US form of government is a constitutionally LIMITED republic, not a democracy. Youre welcome.

Have you ever worked an election? If ou had you would know that the fantasy you propose is impossible. 113000 plus precincts and this would have required that 7million votes were somehow inserted into the process which is compiled and reported at the precinct level and not one of those precinct captains saw it coming- or are you saying that 100,000 people were involved in a nation wide conspiracy and not one of them leaked? Don’t try to make a living writing fantasy fiction- you’re too outlandish to suck in anybod with a room temp IQ.

And of course the $7 trillion whole that you helped Trump blow in the economy had nothing to do with the current economic situation. Biden is proposing a 1% of gdp increase in spending to create jobs and improve infrastucture over a 10 year period. Your support of Trump’s tax cuts raised the national debt by 25% in 4 short years.

is Trump responsible for the botched Afghanistan evacuation? Asking for a friend. I love to watch Dems squirm to prop up this failure of a president. He has destroyed everything he has touched. Now lets see–how can we blame from for the Haitians at the southern border??????????????????????????

Sorry john, but these spending bills didnt pass without the repubs help. How many of bidens far left radical nominees did you help appoint? Heres the deal: vote McConnell OUT of his leadership position, and maybe Ill vote for you in your upcoming re-election bid. Until then, your party is no different than those democrats you attempt to blame. Enough kabuki theatre, actions speak louder than words.

Great “journalism” there, Sheridan Media. As usual, all you do is provide the echo chamber for this economics- and math- and ethics-challenged poser instead of doing any actual research into whether what he says is in any way tied to reality.

Dr. Barrasso has zero creditability. He blindly goose stepped in line with the rest of the republicans during the Trump administrations reign of terror. He remained silent when our capital was under siege by loser Trump supporting sycophants. Now he has the audacity to criticize the status of the economy which was left in shambles by Trump and his tax relief bill that only benefitted the rich. Just go away! Dr. Barrasso you are a liar and charlatan and you do not represent what is good about Wyoming.
