The consent agenda was approved by the Sheridan County Commission at their meeting this week, including a number of items needing ratified.

The commission approved a permit for a supervised public display of fireworks by Bruce Burns on Saturday, December 14th at the Raymond Plank Center in Ucross.

The commission ratified an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Sheridan County Prevention and the Sheridan Branch of the Greater Wyoming Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

The purpose is to provide a collaboration to provide adult mentorship to “at risk” youth, and to increase the number of mentors.

Also ratified was the Historic Preservation Committee Certified Local Government’s annual report.

Finally, the commission ratified a Letter of Intent for the Sheridan Land Trust for support of the Third Phase of the Soldier Ridge Trail System, to be known as Kicking Horse Trail.

According to the letter, the county will work with the Land Trust on the project and support their efforts the realize the completion of the trail system.

Once it is constructed and a survey is completed, the county will pursue a Trail Easement Agreement with Sheridan Heights Ranch, LLC.
